What did your character do this month? Norton is trying to sit on the fence, be outwardly obedient, get in Dr. Pollock's favor in the hopes it might give him a way in to gradually find out more, or be given some leniency or benefit of the doubt if he finds himself in trouble. (And also Norton's just horny and there are no secret gay clubs in Sweetwater.) He does want to find out what's going on, but he's being careful about it.
