Non-Event Explorations


As of 2/3/24, this is the new page where all character interactions with the setting/explorations/etc unrelated to events will reside. Here are some examples of the types of things to post on this page:

- My character would like to search the library for xyz, would they find anything?
- My character is going to approach an NPC outside of an event and do xyz, what happens?
- If my character goes asking around for x, what will they be told?

Examples of things that should still go on the FAQ:

- What kind of books does the library have on x topic? (Character is not specifically searching the library IC).
- Does the town have x facility?
- Is my character able to do x?

And, when in doubt, it's fine to just post the question on your best guess and I can move it as needed!

Would there be any way to research the companies involved in building them? Or to confirm if the other men on Haven Street are in similiar positions of having brought brand new houses?

It's the same unremarkable subdivision company for the whole neighborhood. If Arthur spends the time to pull out each property record, he would find similar for each player character in the neighborhood, ranging from 3-5 years of ownership.

Would it be possible for him while he's looking to get his hands on any archived blueprints for major buildings in Sweetwater? Like the hospital or the department store? He's specifically hunting for anything with basements, but would try to pass it off as a hobbyist's interest in architecture and make jokes about ideas for his own basement improvements.

He wouldn't be able to get non residential blueprints, but the hospital and department store both have maps in the facilities themselves. In the basement of the hospital is the morgue as well as a large area for an emergency bunker if the patients have to be moved downstairs in the event of a nuclear attack. Both would be labelled clearly on the map.

The morgue has a 24-hour staffed desk with a sign in/sign out log, and the room is kept locked. That said, it is relevant that the hospital listed on the toe tag Bucky obtained, Walter Reed, is outside of Sweetwater's bounds - only the Sweetwater General Hospital is accessible to them. This would be a more severely punished (than just re-education) offense.

Just to confirm, would there be any punishment for the boys attempting to leave town and interacting with the boundary?

Not at all, HOWEVER, discussing trying to leave it, what happened, etc would be considered subversive and would get the standard punishment.
