( ACTIVITY. )

Here at Silent Spring, AC is relatively low to accommodate the busy lives of a largely working, late-20s-and-older playerbase, and so that the game is still playable for people whose lives during weekdays (or whichever days work) relegate them to being weekend taggers.
We require one (1) AC proof per month, either a thread of 5 log comments, an event toplevel posted no later than the 20th of the month, 15 short network comments, or 5 multiparagraph network comments. You may not use a thread with the same character for two AC periods in a row.
You can post AC at any time in the month, the earlier, the better! This makes it easier for mods to space out administrative work through the month.
We allow for hiatuses of 1 month, up to 3 a year, not back to back. Players get one strike if they cannot make AC (with the exception of extraneous circumstances - please explain these to mods as soon as you are able to even if you’re not sure you’ll be unable to make AC and just think you might not make AC).
All of this said, think of AC proofs as a small cross-section of expected activity, the absolute bare minimum. This is a very small game, and there aren’t unlimited slots. Out of consideration to the people who didn’t make it in after you, please don’t squat.
New players should post a comment with their handle in the subject line, and then reply to that comment with the following subject line: Character Name | Canon | Role (Husband, Wife, Child).
For each month, post a new comment in reply to the subject line with your character’s name and canon, putting [Month] [Year] (ex: “January 2024”) in this comment’s subject line.

January 2024
What did your character do this month? Papyrus experienced a few vivid memories that weren't his, had some loud public conversations with Arthur and Numbers about it, and "enjoyed" a movie night sleepover with Norman! Once home, he eventually stumbled outside where Sans found him and walked him to a different home, and Sokka interrogated him about the missing time a bit.
A couple weeks further in the month, he teamed up with Edward to survive the mannequins, and offered some snow-shoveling services during the snowstorm. Off screen, he's been experimenting with the ways gelatin can be combined with other foods... and washing a lot of dishes.
Re: January 2024
February 2024
What did your character do this month? Following that dinner party of alarming intel and even more alarming plans, Papyrus doubled down on working to be sure he can avoid trouble when he needs to. He stayed within the lockdown barrier after taking a couple walks to note where the boundaries were, traded some food, and made sure to attend the Valentine's Day party in full suit attire. When the question of a book club came up, he offered literary suggestions but bailed at the first hint of being the one to throw it. Papyrus also attended a few of those physics lectures - and I need to follow up on the option having him join as a student.

March 2024
What did your character do this month? During / after the earthquake, Papyrus did a check around the neighborhood for anyone in distress, crossing paths with Margaret and Norton in the process. He tried and failed to communicate with the hostile birds, and took cover eventually. A bit after the smoke started, he hid at his brother Sans's house to commiserate about the phantom heat and weird outfit sensations. Late in the month, he volunteered to help with disposal of the dead birds around town, an experience that left him newly perturbed with the pleasant smiling neighborhood - a mood Raskolnikov caught him in. Past that he's continued learning to drive, taken chances to admire the changes of spring, and done some light reading on human anatomy.
(I am moving this next month, so I have been struggling with keeping up those threads. I do intend to slowly backtag them through the month with anyone interested, but I am probably gonna need to post a hiatus for April to be on the safe side.)
Re: March 2024
April 2024
He was likely trying to stay out of trouble, and sticking to house improvement projects and other ways for a
skeletonyoung man to keep busy for weeks!May 2024
What did your character do this month? In May, Papyrus discovered a new housemate (two, if including the cat) in the form of a "son" going by John Mandrake. He also met Chell at his door asking for sugar, but mostly asking for gossip on the neighborhood. Retroactively back in April, Papyrus did at least show up to the "book club" with his brother, and contributed a little to the conversation by asking after Dr. Ravichandran.
I didn't make AC - catching Covid at the end of April messed up the end of The Move for me, and I've only recently been gathering the spoons to dip back into tagging again. If this counts as a strike, I'll be content w/ that, and if I'll be out for the time being I understand.
Re: May 2024
June 2024
What did your character do this month? Papyrus kept up the housework and his human persona around the new housemate ("son"), with occasional escapes over to his brother's to (relatively) let his guard down. Creative lawn design (trimming some bone shapes into the yard, hastily corrected to an American flag in an attempt to fit in) saw him at a double feature movie night encore, to his "delight". He attended the pool party the next day despite the lingering exhaustion and side effects, checking in with his brother while there. Later in the month, he and Norton talked about smoke, fog, smog, and possibly the symptoms of exposure to the fogger trucks.
Re: June 2024
July 2024
What did your character do this month? Mostly Papyrus did his best to blend in and keep his head down, especially after John disappeared so thoroughly and the horrible memories during the fireworks disoriented him and his brother so badly.
Re: July 2024
August 2024
What did your character do this month? Considered turning himself back into a skeleton, if only so he wouldn't be nearly so sweaty ever again. Possibly damaged his AC in an attempt to get in there and mess with the mechanics of it himself? Fortunately a repairman got around to actually fixing it eventually, and either Papyrus didn't get a visit or there wasn't anything notably disruptive enough for a basement visit. The highlight - if you can call it that - of the month was the day of the static-preceded broadcast of memories on the TVs. Papyrus saw Sans back underground, skeletal and mercilessly fighting with the human, unleashing a bloody finishing move. A bit later that day in Sweetwater, when asked about the scene, Sans deflected for a few minutes before outright lying about it...
(
Unfortunately life continued throwing things at me this month, and I didn't get a good window for tagging again until the end of the month, so my only thread is with Sans again. :/)(Edit to add: I realized later that my previous AC was a top-level, so it should be all good!)
